It’s the end of “unnecessary” red tape. The General Data Protection Regulation in the UK is set to be replaced by a less burdensome system. Indeed, the UK Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport, Michelle Donelan, stated that thanks to their new system, businesses will no longer be shackled by administrative formalities, which she described as “unnecessary.” The UK data protection system will not only be simpler and clearer, but also better suited to both businesses and consumers.
